Social Media Overview (Final Post)

So I have to say my overall opinion of the Social Media class isn’t the best. The one thing that was sort of nice to come out of it was watching some of the funny youtube videos but I personally am not a fan of using computers and social media websites at all. The only one I enjoy is Facebook and that’s only to keep in contact with friends and family. I wouldn’t say all the other social media sites such as pinterest, mailchimp, twitter, etc are completely useless by any means but I’ve realized out of this class that they are not for me.

Twitter Assignment

Twitter Assignment

To be brutally honest I learned absolutely nothing from this assignment. Im looking to eventually get into the field of Photography and most of the Photographers I tweeted didn’t even care to get back to me and with the ability of only writing 140 characters the conversation is short and pointless. I gained no new followers from this assignment and wouldn’t care if I had but I did follow one of the Photographers I was able to connect with. We had a very brief conversation about how he got into Photography and I mentioned my future interest in the field. So what I learned from this assignment is how much I despise using social apps because their a huge waste of my time when I could be doing actual art and talking with people in person.
